Alicha and Brandon's Success!
My son Brandon was very hesitant at starting and doing any kind of reading or writing activities when he first started HIPPY, but now he gets excited and wants to do them on his own sometimes. Being on the Autism spectrum, he has difficulty wanting to start an activity, but with the HIPPY program and having fun with shapes, he loves the math exercises. The science activities, especially the one’s involving water, has definitely boosted his confidence level. He wants to be more involved and independent with reading and writing which he didn’t want to do before.
Fadia and Elijah's Success!
This is Elijah’s third year with the program. I am so grateful for the opportunity to work with my grandson. HIPPY has provided me with all the resources necessary for Elijah to be successful. By the time he started kindergarten at age 5 he was more than ready. He started kindergarten reading at a 2.7 reading level. I like that the program incorporates language, science, and math. It was a fun way to learn so the child is never bored. We did all the activities and kept up with the reading logs. Elijah loves all the science projects. I would highly recommend this program to any parent of preschoolers. We have also been fortunate to have Rhonda Gully as our home visitor. She has provided Elijah with all the resources necessary and also made good suggestions for areas where he needed extra help (handwriting was a challenge.) Rhonda is the best!
Jodi and Quinn's Success!
It had been over 30 years since we had a little one in the house. I knew I needed some help in preparing my grand for school. A neighbor told me about HIPPY and I’m so glad she did. My grand’s favorite things have always been stuffies, books, and alphabet letters, and numbers. She’s very curious and loves learning. The program has helped me identify different opportunities throughout the past 3 years and for that we are forever grateful. When we started VPK in 2021 her teachers were immediately impressed with her vocabulary, letter recognition, number recognition, and sentence structure. She has excelled and is well on her way to a very bright future. Thank you HIPPY and Ms. Rhonda for providing the guidance, resources, and love we needed to make sure Quinn had a solid foundation to build on for her lifetime of learning.
Mary and Gabriel's Success!
Doing HIPPY with my son helped us both in so many ways. I had already completed the program with his sister, so I think I was more excited to start activities than he was. But we did it! It was so much fun bonding with him while he was learning at the same time. He really loved the science and cooking activities. Thank you Ms. Shanica for being the missing puzzle piece to our family for all these years.
